Danta was an 895 sq. km Princely State ruled by Parmars, descendants of the great King Vikramaditya of Ujjain. Bhavani Villa – A colonial style villa situated on a small hill and overlooking the town of Danta  on one side & the Old Palace on the rear side with backdrop of green hills. The oldest part of the house is almost 150 years old which had been the residence of the Prime Minister of Danta State. Since 1944 it has been home to the Royal family of Danta.

It is surrounded by the oldest mountain range – The Aravalis which are still home to two very old tribes, The Bhils and The Garasiyas. These tribals live in the little hamlets in the hills & their main occupation is farming and dairy.

Using five of their rooms and adding modern amenities Bhavani Villa has now been converted into a privately managed  home stay hotel run by the owners and where the guests are treated as family friends.  Enjoy traditional Rajput style home-cooked food, very different from the cuisine to be found in hotels! The house is at the edge of the forest so guests can take a morning or evening walk in the jungle and enjoy the flora and fauna.Short treks are also possible to different hills to enjoy the wonderful views of the lush surrounding areas.
